Applesauce Cake
3 cups of applesauce 2 teaspoons of baking soda
3/4 cup of oil 3 eggs 2 cups of sugar 3 1/2 cups of flour 4 teaspoons of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon of cloves 1 teaspoon of salt 1 cup of black walnuts 1 pound of raisins |

Place applesauce and baking soda in bowl; stir and let stand. Place eggs, oil, and sugar in bowl; mix well. Add applesauce mixture and blend. Add flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt; mix well. Add nuts and raisins. Bake at 325ºF.
for 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean. Applesauce Cake
1 1/2 cups of unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup of butter 2 eggs 1 cup of sugar 2 cups of flour 1 cup of chopped raisins
1/2 cup of chopped nuts 2 teaspoons of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of cloves 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 level teaspoons of soda dissolved in 1 tbsp. boiling water
Bake at 350ºF. until firm to touch. SAUCE: 1 heaping tablespoon of cornstarch 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of coffee
Cook until thickened. Cool, then whip 1 cup cream with pinch of salt, and add coffee mixture and continue beating.
