Applesauce Cake 5

4 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of  cloves
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
2 teaspoons of soda
1 1/2 cup of margarine, melted
3 cups of applesauce
4 tablespoons of cocoa
2 cups of nuts, chopped
1 cup of raisins

Sift dry ingredients except cocoa. Add melted margarine to mixed applesauce and cocoa. Stir in dry ingredients. Add nuts and raisins. Bake at 300ºF.  for 1 hour or until done. Should be refrigerated.

Applesauce Cake

1 can applesauce
1 1/2 cup of sugar
3 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of cloves
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
3/4 stick oleo
2 cups of raisins
2 cups of nuts

Mix all ingredients until well blended. Bake slowly for 1 1/2 to 2 hours in a 250ºF. oven.

Applesauce Cake

2 1/4 cups of flour
1 1/3 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of cloves
1/2 cup of shortening
1 cup of sweetened applesauce
2 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of chopped nuts

Combine in mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Turn into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350ºF. for 35-40 minutes. Cool and frost if desired.
