Diet Applesauce Cake
2 cups of raisins 2 cups of water 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce 2 tablespoons of artificial sweetener 2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda 2 eggs 3/4 cup of vegetable oil 1 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg |

Cook raisins in water until soft; drain. Add applesauce, eggs, oil and sweetener to raisins. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour in a 9x13 pan greased with diet margarine. Bake at 350ºF.
for 45 minutes. Serves 16. Diet Applesauce Cake
4 slices of toasted bread
2/3 cup of powdered milk 2 cups of unsweetened applesauce 1 1/2 tablespoon of liquid Sweet 'n Low or 15 individual packets
1 teaspoon of soda 4 eggs 4 tablespoons of oil 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Mix together and bake at 350ºF. for 25 to 30 minutes. 60 calories per 1" slices.
Diet Applesauce Cake
1/2 cup of shortening 2 tablespoons of Sweet Ten
3 eggs 1 1/2 cup of applesauce 1 cup of raisins 2 cups of flour 2 teaspoons of soda 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of cloves 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Mix all ingredients together, flouring the raisins so they won't sink to the bottom. Then mix and bake at 325ºF.
for 30 minutes. |
