Chocolate Sheet Cake
2 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 stick of margarine
4 tablespoons of cocoa
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of buttermilk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of soda
Instructions:
Mix flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Melt margarine, add cocoa
and water and bring to a rapid boil, pour over dry mixture and
mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and soda. Mix well. Bake
in a 11 x 17 inch greased sheet cake pan, spread evenly at
bake at 375ºF. for about 15 minutes.
Frosting:
1 stick of margarine
4 tablespoons of cocoa
6 tablespoons of buttermilk
1 box of confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 cup of nuts
Bring margarine, cocoa and buttermilk slowly to a rapid boil,
remove from heat. Add sugar, vanilla and nuts and spread on cake
quickly while frosting is hot.
