Beer Spice Cake
1/2 cup of butter 1 cup of brown sugar 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 1/2 cup of sifted flour 1 teaspoon of baking powder 1 teaspoon of cloves 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of allspice 1/4 teaspoon of soda 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1 cup of chopped walnuts 1 cup of chopped dates 1 cup of beer |

Instructions:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in egg. Sift flour together with dry ingredients, sift again over walnuts and dates. Add to creamed mixture alternately with beer. Pour batter into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until done at 375ºF.
