Cold Oven Pound Cake
7 eggs
3 cups of sugar
1/2 pound of butter
1 cup of Crisco oil
1 cup of milk
3 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
a pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of lemon extract
Instructions:
Beat Crisco oil and butter until fluffy, add sugar gradually,
continue beating, add eggs, one at a time, continue beating, add
flour ( which has been sifted three times with baking powder and
salt) and milk alternately. Add flavorings. Pour into greased
floured tube pan. Put in a cold oven, set temperature at 300ºF.
Close door. Cook for 1 hour and 35 minutes. Do not open oven
door until done.
