Santa's White Fudge

Santa's White Fudge
 
 2 cups of sugar
 1/2 cup of sour cream
 1/3 cup of white corn syrup
 2 tablespoons of margarine
 1/4 teaspoon of salt
 2 teaspoons of vanilla
 1/4 cup of candies cherries, chopped
 1 cup of pecans, chopped

Instructions:

In large heavy skillet, mix first 5 ingredients; cook to softball stage or 236ºF. Remove from heat; let stand 15 minutes. Add vanilla and beat; add cherries and nuts. Pour into buttered 8x8 inch pan.
