Holiday Ginger Snaps 1 1/2 sticks of butter 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1/4 cup of sugar 2 teaspoons of ginger 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of allspice 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt 1 Egg 3/4 cup of molasses 3 1/2cups of flour 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

Instructions:
Cream together butter, sugars, spices & salt. Add egg & mix thoroughly. Add molasses & blend. Sift together twice: flour, powder & soda. Add to molasses mixture & stir until blended. Chill well. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Using floured rolling pin, roll dough to 1/4" thick on floured pastry cloth or board. Use a cookie cutter to press out desired shape.
