Calico Meringues Recipe

Calico Meringues
 
 2 egg whites
 Pinch of cream of tartar
 1/2 c. sugar
 3/4 c. M&M's
 
 Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy in a small deep bowl. Gradually beat in sugar to make a stiff meringue. Fold in M&M's. Grease and flour large cookie sheet. Garnish each cookie with an M&M. Bake at 250ºF.  for about 30 minutes or until cookies are firm to the touch. VARIATIONS: Red and green for Christmas. Pastels for Easter.
