Easy Southern Pecan Pie
1 unbaked 9" pie crust 1 cup of dark Karo syrup 1 cup of white sugar (or 3/4 cup of brown sugar) 3 whole eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla or rum extract 1 cup pecans, broken into pieces
Instructions:
Beat eggs in bowl, and add Karo syrup and sugar. Then add extract and pecans. Mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 450 for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 300ºF. for 30 minutes. Remove from oven to sit for one hour before serving. Serves 8
